Volume 2: Making Sense of Our Story
This one’s all about living a more regulated life.
In a loud, fast, and often dysregulating world, Making Sense of Our Story helps us learn how to live from a steadier place 🎈.
This volume focuses on emotional regulation—understanding what’s happening inside us, why we react the way we do, and how faith can meet us before we spiral into overwhelm.
Rather than fixing or suppressing emotions, these sessions invite participants to notice, name, and gently make sense of their inner world.
As we understand our stories, we discover that calm isn’t something we chase—it’s something we practice, together, in the presence of God 🌱🎈.
Our stories live inside a much bigger and better one … where there’s so much for us to discover.

Workshop Lecture 1: Dysregulated? 🌊💔🚀
This one begins where most of us already are—overstimulated, reactive, and quietly exhausted 🎈😮💨. Before we talk about change, healing, or hope 🌱, we slow down 🐢 and name what’s actually happening inside us. This session introduces the idea of dysregulation: the state where our inner world gets knocked off center ⚖️ and our reactions start driving the story 🎭📖.
Together, we explore how constant noise 📱, stress 🌀, fear 😰, and frustration 😤 pull us away from our grounded selves 🌳 and into patterns of fear and reactivity 🚨. Rather than treating these responses as failures ❌, this lecture reframes them as signals 📡—messages from our inward parts ❤️🔥 asking for attention, gentleness, and care 🤲.
Most importantly, Lecture One sets a hopeful foundation 🌅✨. Dysregulation is not a spiritual defect or a character flaw 🚫🧩; it’s a human condition that God already knows how to meet 🤍✝️.
This opening session invites participants to notice their own rhythms with kindness 🎶, recognize when they’ve drifted from center 🧭, and begin the gentle work of returning 🏡—not by force 💪, but by truth 🕯️, presence 🤍, and grace 🌿… all the way back to the root 🌱—the Story 📖🎈. <- this was last weeks video desceription. need one for this week. week 2 is mercy has the last word, about agreeing with the way God sees us through the lens of forgiveness and extended that forgiveness to others. even those that hurt us.
Workshop Lecture 2: Mercy Has the Last Word 🤍🕊️📖
This week, we move from noticing our inner weather 🌦️ to listening for the voice that speaks over it. After naming dysregulation, we now turn toward mercy—the steady, unflinching kindness of God that refuses to let shame have the microphone 🎤🚫.
Lecture Two explores what it means to agree with God about who we are 👀🤝. Not the harsh narrator in our heads 🧠⚖️, not the highlight reel of our worst moments 🎞️💔, but the way God sees us through forgiveness already given ✝️✨.
From there, the circle widens 🔄. As we receive mercy, we begin the brave, tender work of extending it outward 🤲. Even toward those who wounded us 🩹😔. Not to excuse harm 🚫, not to rush healing ⏳, but to loosen the grip that unforgiveness keeps on our souls 🔓🌿.
This session names forgiveness as a pathway back to freedom 🕊️ ... not forced, not fake, but formed slowly in the presence of grace 🌱.
Mercy has the last word 📖✨.
