If you are considering marriage at Church by the Sea here are things you need to know:

      1)   We need at least a 2 month advance notice on

            on all weddings.

      2)   No arrangements can be made until you meet with

            the Pastor.

      3)   Weddings are held on Saturdays, and never in

            December.

      4)   Weddings can not be performed for couples living

            out of the local area.

      5)   We do not book weddings any further ahead than

            one year.

      6)   Pastor Weller will officiate at the Weddings, however, other clergy may assist.

      7)   The total fee is $700.00, that includes;  

                a)  Use of the church               

                b)  Minister          

                c)  Organist

                d)  Custodian (who sets up and cleans up after the wedding)

                e)  Rehearsal the night before

                f)   Four counseling meetings with the Pastor

      8)   Other additional options:

                a)   Sound Technician (to use CD accompaniment, etc.)  $100

      9)   To hold the date, a NON REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT

            of $150.00 is due with your application.

     10)  The $150 deposit is deducted from the $600 and the balance is

            due one month prior to the wedding.

    11)  There are 4 pre-wedding meetings.  They are as follows:

           a)   The couple meets with the Pastor to

                  schedule the wedding.

            b)   The couple meets with the Pastor to discuss

                   their developing relationship as they prepare

                   for marriage.

            c)   All couples getting married in the same month

                  meet with the Pastor two months before their

                  wedding on a Thursday night.

            d)   The couple meets with the Pastor to discuss 

                  their individual preparations for their own 

                  wedding cerimony.

      12)   The available times to schedule the first appointment are Monday, Wednesday, or

              or Friday between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.   The Executive Secretary will be glad

              to set up that appointment.  Each appointment takes approximately 1 hr.

      13)   Church by the Sea holds 360 people comfortably.

      14)   Pastor Weller will not perform weddings outside of the church.
