The Thrift Shop
This outreach ministry is directed towards helping others by offering bargain merchandise to all while giving to the needy. We save our environment by recycling, sorting and distributing good used items through our shop and other agencies. Our income is used for the support of other outreach programs and mission organizations. This ministry is a fellowship between volunteers and/or customers. I may be work but it is also fun.
The Mission Action Committee
The Mission Action Committee is a newly formed group working to create within the church a stronger mission emphasis and to help the congregation develop a new awareness of the needs of people on a local, national and international level. Our goal is to make missions "come alive" in our church. On the third Sunday of each month, we will spotlight one exciting mission project that we trust will stir interest and support.
Plans also include speakers, seminars, mission trips, multimedia presentations and volunteer opportunities. We urge you to prayerfully consider joining us in this endeavor. We need your help! We will be meeting at 7:00 p.m. the third Tuesday of each month, whenever possible, but please call the church office for specific dates.
Prayer Chain
We also touch lives through our very active Prayer Chain. The Prayer chain continues to thrive and grow in Christian love. Prayer requests are received regurlarly on behalf of church members, as well as family and friends of members. The power of praying together can never be underestimated, as evidenced by the many prayers that have been answered through the prayer chain. Praise God!

Equip seeks Christians who have chosen to work in service-oriented vocations out of a desire to help others - men and women with a unique sensitivity to their responsibility for sharing Christ with their neighbors through actions as well as words. But Equip is selective; we want Christians who choose to apply their efforts through the local church in its ministry to the community, rather than just work in the community apart from the church.
Too often, ministries that emphasize social action have been viewed as competing with evangelical organizations for personnel, funds, and time. At Equip, we believe that working with the local evangelical church is imperative, because the local church is God's instrument for reaching individuals within a society. By encouraging local church members to exercise their skills in the improvement of conditions in their community, we believe we can impact their society in a way that reaps both immediate and eternal rewards.
